Pro Star Waste Celebrates 10

years of Local Service

On October 1, 2009, Pro Star Waste, located in Goodrich, will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of providing trash removal service in the Lake Livingston area. The company began with one truck, a load of commercial containers and no customers. By providing quality service and through word of mouth advertising, the company has grown its Goodrich-based fleet to 15 trucks and is the premier solid waste company in the counties surrounding the lake.

Pro Star Waste is a member of most local Chambers of Commerce and is active in both Chamber and community fundraisers by providing receptacles for trash collection as well as personally participating in events such as chili cook-offs. The company is also active in Keep Texas Beautiful efforts in some areas.

Pro Star Waste provides a wide range of waste removal services and recently began offering customers the ease and option of making on-line Internet credit card payments.

Residential Service is provided on once-a-week basis utilizing blue 98-gallon polyurethane carts with 12-inch easy roll wheels. Occasionally, there are new customers who do not think the carts will hold enough household waste to meet their requirements. However, they soon realize that 98 gallons is compatible with two barrels full and provides plenty of space.

Commercial Service is provided with a variety of metal containers ranging from two to eight cubic yards. Disposal is arranged according to the individual need and can be from one to three times a week.

Industrial Service is provided on a will-call basis utilizing both open top and enclosed compactor units ranging in size from 20 to 40 cubic yards.

Pro Star Waste is proud to have waste hauling contracts with several of the municipalities in the area, including the Cities of Onalaska, Groveton, Lovelady and Riverside. The company is also the major provider of waste disposal services in many of the subdivisions surrounding Lake Livingston.
